The Center for 21st Century Skills

The Center for 21st Century Skills was established in July 2004 as a semi-autonomous organizational unit of EDUCATION CONNECTION to enhance and expand upon the efforts and collaborations of existing EDUCATION CONNECTION staff and their work in the area of 21st Century Career and Technical Education.

The Center for 21st Century has developed pioneering open-source curriculum materials in areas like Bio-Technology, E-Commerce, and Information Technology.  These materials can be accessed by participating districts for the purposes of curriculum enhancement for existing courses or for stand-alone courses in a particular student's customized learning plan.

At Oxford High School, we plan to integrate these materials into a variety of courses in the 2007-2008 year and then encourage our students to use these opportunities for complete courses in 2008-2009 and beyond.  To learn more about the Center, click on the link below.
