For more information regarding any of the coaches or programs that are planned for the new Oxford High School, contact the Athletic Director, Glen Lungarini .

Any student or parent with questions regarding specific sports and schedules beyond the information that is listed on this page is encouraged to contact either the coach of the particular sport or Glen Lungarini (Athletic Director) in person to get the information that is needed.

While final uniform designs are still under consideration, they will incorporate blue and white colors, the logos displayed above, and will follow the traditional pattern of dark colors for home games and whites for away games.

Football: Mr. Joe Stochmal - Joe is currently the Offensive Coordinator at Hillhouse High School in New Haven. Joe is a former All New England collegiate player.

Boys Soccer: Mr. Charles J. Egervari - A former All New England Selection player in his own right, Charles has been a head soccer coach for over 30 years at both the high school and collegiate level.

Girls Soccer: Ms. Jennifer Stango - A professional athlete, Jennifer has extensive high school and collegiate coaching and playing experience in softball, soccer, and basketball. She is looking forward to leading the Oxford Girls Soccer Team.

Cross Country: Mr. Ed Lucas - A former collegiate stand-out in both indoor and outdoor track, Ed has quickly established himself as one of the more successful cross country coaches in the region.

Girls Swimming: Mr. Jordano Quaglia - A successful international swimmer and national team member, Jordano is a native of Brazil and has been a successful collegiate and high school coach.

Girls Volleyball: Mr. David Cypher - David is a successful and respected volleyball coach at both East Haven and Amity High Schools.

Cheer Team: Ms. Marie Kashuba - Marie cheered for four years at UCONN (Captain her senior year) and has almost 20 years of successful cheer coaching and cheerleading judging experience at the Pop Warner, high school, and college levels. In that time she has been named both Contributor and Spirit Coach of the year.

Oxford High School was accepted by the CIAC/CAS at their December meeting for membership and is now included in sports schedules for 2007-2008 Southwest Conference play.

Just click on any one of the sports buttons below to view the entire FALL Southwest Conference Schedule for that sport in 2007-2008. If a sport you are interested in is not listed (winter and spring sports, for example), it does not mean Oxford High School is not going to have them, it simply means that the CIAC has not scheduled them yet for next year. It is possible that other sports (such as Boys Volleyball) could/will be added if/when sufficient enrollment to field a team is generated. Chances for additional sports running will increase with every year as we build toward full enrollment in the the 2009-2010 school year. It is our hope that every child will play a sport and/or participate in an extra-curricular activity so as interest builds, so will our roster of available offerings.

We are pleased to announce that the Oxford High School Booster Club has been formed and is ready for your ideas, time, and talent as we begin the Oxford High School journey with you and your child. In recent months, we have met with current or former Oxford PTO parents to create by-laws and a structure from which to build upon.
