Revisions will take place every 5-10 years and will take an average of 2 years to complete. Renewals should be ongoing and systemic in every area that has been through this Revision process at least once.

B. Build, Improve, and Share Aligned Assessments (Renewal
and Revision) - How do we know?
Step One: Create/refine grade
appropriate assessment standards for their related Expected Performances (Level
4).
(To be effective, there should be tight
alignment between all four levels indicated above.)
Step Two: Ask and answer the following questions:
1. What products or performances are in place that will work with the new assessment framework?
2. How can we integrate the new assessments into our assessment rationale and process?
3. What other assessment issues do we need to address?
C. Scope and Sequence to Taste (Revision Only) -
How do we teach? (Part One)
Ask and answer the following

1. Which of the Expected Performances does our current scope and sequence address?
2. Which of the Expected Performances does our current scope and sequence fail to address?
3. Are there obvious instructional gaps or repetitions that need to be addressed?
4. What changes in the scope and sequence need to be made to help teachers lead students to success?
D. Build and Share Teaching Resources and Tasks (Revision
and Renewal)- How do we teach? (Part Two)
Ask and answer the following
questions:
1. What texts or materials do we have/use that are aligned with these goals?
2. What texts or materials do we need to help our students achieve these standards?
3. What units, projects, or shared experiences could be helpful?
4. What relevant resources outside the classroom community could be helpful?
5. What training or support will our teachers need to effectively implement this curriculum?
